As you will be aware local residents established the Al-Ihsan Trust last year with the aim of establishing a purpose built Masjid in the Track Road / Thorncliffe Road / Staincliffe area.
This is a short note to keep you informed on the progress with the Masjid development and a request for your help, support and duas in this holy month of Ramadhan.

By the grace of Allah SWT, the committee has been successful in negotiating the sale of a site within the Al-Hikmah Centre grounds to build this Masjid, this will be subject to planning permission by the Council.
The committee has been working on formalising the trust and we are pleased to inform you that a constitution has been drafted and ratified, which has been sent to the Charity Commission for registration as a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO). We are confident that this will be approved soon In Sha Allah and will enable us to establish ourselves as an official organisation.
On the land front, Alhamdulillah the committee are pleased to inform you that steady progress has been made with the construction project in the grounds of the Al-Hikmah Centre.
We have been extremely fortunate to have had the presence and attendance of eminent Ulema-e-Kiram at three dua ceremonies held at the site. These were led by respected Ulema, namely:
The plan of action for the first part of the project is as follows:
We have consulted with a number of different architects for their initial advice and quotations for planning and design of the project. In Sha Allah we aim to commission one of the architects to commence work on Phase 1 of the project: initial design layout and outline planning application.
Only when the outline is approved can we proceed to purchasing the land and commence with submitting a full planning application to the Council. The estimated cost of the outline application (Phase 1) is approximately £10,000.
Phase 1: We urgently need your help
In order for the trust to commence Phase 1 of the project we need your generous donations so that we can commission an architect to formulate the outline planning application and submit it to the Council.
The money you donate will specifically be utilised for this work. Should any surplus funds remain after the completion of Phase 1, this balance will be utilised for the rest of the project. In the event the application is not successful any remaining amount will be donated to a Masjid.
We pray the Almighty help us in achieving Phase 1 without any difficulties. We humbly ask you to donate generously and make dua that with your support we can together build another house of Allah in our town.
JazakAllah Khair,
Walaikum Salaam
