We are delighted to bring you the latest update on the Masjid project, a testament to our collective vision and dedication to providing a place of worship for all. Alhamdulillah, in July 2023 the foundation stone was laid by Hadhrat Moulana Salim Dhorat Sahib, and since then we have made significant progress.
Foundation Stone Laying: On the 23rd of July 2023, we were blessed to have Hadhrat Moulana Salim Dhorat Sahib join us for the laying of the foundation stone, a momentous occasion that signifies the spiritual foundation of the Masjid.
Retaining Wall and Backfill: The retaining wall has been successfully constructed and backfilling has been completed, further solidifying the structure's integrity.
Padstones and Lift Pit: As we move forward, we have entered the next phase of the project, focusing on the excavation for the padstones and the lift pit.
Steel: The steel has been ordered and will be placed on site once the padstones and lift pit is complete. The total cost of the steel is £328,500. As a guide, 50kg of steel costs approximately £200.
